Echoes That Endure
Where historical fiction breathes and comes to life.
There has always been a world before us, one that lived and breathed, much like our own. What we call the present was once a future the past could not imagine. Some stories from that time are never told. They quietly disappear, buried beneath time and the eyes of those who choose to look away.
Echoes of Talbert is a place for stories rooted in place, in history, and in the moments that were not easily spoken or fully understood when they happened.
When we look back, we sometimes uncover traces of those who came before. A face in a faded photograph. A name scribbled in the corner of a family Bible. A feeling that rises without warning and refuses to let go. These are the openings.
It begins with Flossie Colton’s Tragic Smile, a Southern tale set in 1924 rural Georgia, where beauty, shame, and silence leave a mark that time alone cannot erase.
Other stories are waiting. Shaped by memory, softened by distance, and woven into fiction just enough to make them safe to tell. Some you’ve heard. Some you’ve lived. Some only reveal themselves when time has had its say.
Have a question or something that won’t leave you alone? I’d love to hear from you.
